From Lotus Notes to artificial intelligence
I started this website in 2000. Back then, it was built with Lotus Notes. In 2010, it was transferred to HTML; in 2019, it moved to WordPress. Its appearance remained largely familiar. Some things you like to take with you when you move.
Why have a website of my own? Part calling card, part shop window. Room for paths through life, thoughts and hobbies. Perhaps also an attempt to bring the different sides of who I am together in one place. Anyone browsing here may discover connections that do not quite fit between two dates on a CV.
At the same time, this site is meant to be a lasting showcase of my growing technical skills and ability to shape content. What I learn should become visible here: in the design, in new possibilities, in working with images and language. Also in making sense of experience and getting a point across clearly. A practice ground with an audience, in a way.
In 2026, artificial intelligence joins the toolbox. It helps me develop the familiar design and put new ideas into practice. That calls for decisions of my own: What suits me? What is useful? And what only looks good at first glance?
So my digital reflection keeps growing. With what I can do, what occupies my thoughts – and occasionally with the courage to try something I could not do yesterday.
